M5 workstation kit
Anti-Fatigue Workstation Kit
The 25mm deck for a dry concrete floor you stand on all day. Interlocking tiles and bevelled edging, delivered.

This is the kit for a dry concrete floor you stand on for hours. Interlocking 25mm deck tiles click together into one flat platform, bevelled edging closes every open edge, and the whole thing lays down in about ten minutes with no tools and no adhesive.
Concrete gives you nothing back. Every step you take on it, the load goes into your feet, knees and lower back rather than into the floor. A 25mm rubber deck deflects under load and returns, which keeps the small postural muscles working instead of letting you lock out and stiffen up. That is the mechanism. It is why thickness is the number that matters and why most matting sold in the UK at 12 to 19mm is doing half the job.
It is also warmer underfoot, which in an unheated garage in February is not a small thing.
This is the right kit when
- The floor is dry concrete, screed or a coated garage floor.
- You stand in roughly the same place for long stretches: a bench, a vice, a lathe, a welding position, a packing station.
- You want one flat platform rather than a mat that creeps across the floor.
It is the wrong kit when
- There is oil, coolant or grease on the floor. You want grip on the top surface. See the Anti-Slip kit.
- The floor gets wet or hosed down. Water needs somewhere to go. See the Drainage kit.
- You handle static-sensitive electronics at the position. See the ESD Anti-Static kit.
Pick the floor space you use, not the full length of the bench.
About a bench and a half.

Why the kit costs what it costs
You can buy loose matting tiles cheaper than this. It is worth knowing exactly what the difference is before you do, because it is not margin.
01
25mm, not 12 to 19mm
Every interlocking tile we can find on sale in the UK is 12mm, 16mm or 19mm. Ours is 25mm. Thickness is what does the work underfoot, so this is a different class of product rather than the same thing at a higher price.
02
Edging is in the box
Bevelled edging closes every open edge, and it is included. Sold separately elsewhere it runs £19.00 to £27.20 per edge piece, and a work position needs four to six of them. That is £76 to £163 of accessory you are not buying.
03
The price is the delivered price
No carriage at checkout, no threshold to reach, no Highlands surcharge and no price on application for Northern Ireland. The number on the page is the number you pay, anywhere in the UK.
Compare a finished work position against a finished work position, not a kit against a single tile. Tiles, the edging to close the perimeter and the carriage on a heavy box are three separate lines everywhere else. Here they are one number.

Questions people ask
The details specific to this surface. For anything unusual, ask us before ordering.
01Will it move about on a smooth concrete floor?
No. The kit is heavy enough to stay put on its own weight, from 16 kg for the smallest size up to 33 kg for the longest. It does not need adhesive and it is not fixed down, so you can lift it to sweep underneath and put it back.
02Can I drive a pallet truck or a trolley over the edge?
The bevelled edging is designed to be crossed on foot and by a hand trolley. It is not a ramp for a powered pallet truck or a forklift. If wheeled traffic crosses the position regularly, call us before ordering and we will tell you honestly whether this is the right thing.
03How do I know what size to get?
Measure the floor you actually stand on and add about 150mm of overhang on each open side, so you are never stepping half on and half off. The sizing calculator does that arithmetic for you.
04Is this the same as bench matting?
No, and it is worth being clear about it. Bench matting is a thin sheet that sits on the bench surface under your work. This is a 25mm deck that goes on the floor, under you. Different product, different job.
Still weighing this up against the Anti-Slip kit?
Both are 25mm decks with edging included. The difference is the top surface and what your floor does. Compare them side by side, or answer three questions and we will pick.
